In the end, Franklin Borough Councilman David Fanale simply never showed up. Fanale, who infuriated the law enforcement community when he compared police officers to criminals on his Facebook page, declined to witness a rally attended by more than 200 people — including police from as far away as Seaside Heights — all demanding his ouster.
